Steam-a-Seam is a double stick fusible web, designed to secure layers of fabric together without changing the hand of the fabric and making the quilt stiff.

Of all the different types of Steam-a-Seam, this type of Lite Steam-a-Seam 2 is the most popular because it's the easiest to use and lightest weight of all the many brands of fusible web on the market

Steam-a-Seam 2 comes sandwiched between 2 layers of paper. When you remove one paper, the revealed side of the fusible web sticks lightly to fabric, making it easy to position properly.

How to Use Steam-a-Seam 2 Lite:

1. Trace appliqué design in reverse on one paper side (one side is designed to come away easier than the other. Trace on the side that stays on the fusible).
2. Stick the sheet of steam-a-seam 2 lite to the wrong side of your material, pressing for 2-5 seconds with a hot, dry iron.
3. Cut out fabric and fusible together along the traced line.
4. Peel off the remaining paper and position the applique on your project.
5. Press for 10-20 seconds with steam on the cotton setting. Increase fusing for lower heat. Reheat if necessary.

Special Note from Leah Day - I prefer to use Steam-a-Seam 2 light for all my Accu Quilt Go! projects. The bond created between the fabrics really holds in place perfectly, but without a noticeable stiffness.
