Japanese Sashiko Quilt

This was the second quilt I ever made. At the time I was working as a seamstress and had access to large amounts of corduroy fabric. Though not the best choice for a pieced quilt, I managed to make this Japanese inspired quilt from two different weights of corduroy, wool suit fabric, and 100% cotton. With the quilting, I attempted Sashiko style quilting (Japanese quilting). I'm still very pleased with this early work and this heavy quilt is very useful in the winter time!
