Silk Organza Fabric
The reason is this: silk organza is essential for some quilting techniques like reverse shadow trapunto! Reverse Shadow Trapunto is a technique that allows you to create complex motifs and designs without the hassles of applique or paint. This fabric is 42" wide and machine washable. It has a crisp, firm hand and is surprisingly durable, even when stitched heavily in free motion. You can use this fabric for a variety of differen techniques including dying, embroidery, reverse shadow trapunto, and more! Special Note from Leah Day: For a long time I thought the only fabric I could use in a quilt was 100% cotton, and ONLY 100% cotton. Finally, after getting frustrated with the limitations of cotton with certain wholecloth techniques, I turned to silk organza and I've never turned back!
